HIGH CURRENT CONTROLLER IN COMBINATION WITH
BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR FOR BATTERY POWERED APPLICATIONS

Mavilor MA Series

M Rutty & Co. extend their portfolio by an interesting new solution, consisting of a high current controller and a perfectly matched brushless DC motor for the use in battery powered applications (12/ 24V) or with low voltage supply.

The single quadrant speed controller is perfectly matched to the brushless 3-phase BG motors by Dunkermotoren with an output power of up to 500 Watt. The controller’s continuous output current is rated for 60 A with peak currents of up to 100 A (2 seconds) at a supply voltage of 8…30 V.

The parameter sets for ‘power stage off’, CW or CCW operation, two fixed speeds and variable speed operation can be selected either by dip switches or alternatively by digital inputs. In addition, the motor speed can be set either by a 0-10 V, a 0-20 mA or a PWM input. The parameter sets can be configured via a USB interface.

A speed potentiometer scales the analogue input between 0-100 % or sets a fixed speed or current, respectively.

Digital outputs provide motor and system information for external monitoring.

The controller housing can be used in harsh environmental conditions due to its durable and rugged housing.

Suitable for this controller, Dunkermotoren developed a BG 75 motor series that is perfectly adapted to battery powered applications or low voltages up to 18 VDC, if higher output power is required. Dunkermotoren identified fields of applications mainly where hydraulic drives are still used today, e.g. in agricultural machines, construction machines, railway applications, boats and ground transportation vehicles.
